WHAT CAN POSITIVE DYSLEXIA DO TO HELP?

Practical and positive strategies
Positive Dyslexia can help support the needs of Employees, Employers, Parents and Children. We have a National network of trained Specialist teachers and Assessors, who can assist at any level. We are all aware of the difficulties faced by dyslexic children and adults and have a range of options that can address those needs.

FOR EMPLOYERS

Are you meeting the Equality Act (2010) for your employees? Many companies are still not Dyslexia Friendly and getting the best out of their staff with dyslexia. We can offer training for Line Managers and Staff to be Dyslexia Aware and be compliant with the Act. Training sessions can be bespoke to both your needs and the time available for training and is delivered by experienced Trainers. We can also offer Assessments and Work Based Needs Assessments so that your staff can be effectively supported in the workplace.

FOR SCHOOLS

We can offer INSET training at competitive rates and at times to suit eg After School. Training can be in a range of subjects such as Dyscalculia and other Co-occurring difficulties, Study Skills or general Dyslexia Awareness and can be tailored to staff needs. We can carry out Group screenings or carry out testing for Exam Access Arrangements (Form 8).

FOR PARENTS

We can offer full diagnostic assessments and support to help parents enable their children reach their potential. A review can be carried out after 12 months to check progress of your child.
If your child is going to University a Post 16 Assessment will enable them to access Disabled Students Allowance.
We offer a school finding service to help parents locate the correct school for their child's very individual needs.
Email or telephone support is always available.
